A sloppy throw-in by Santos Piearres in the 24th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Nibiru X's León Collado. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isidro De Gavardo in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luis Nardo saved Florida Gulf Coast from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lukáš Katačić in the 34th minute of play forced Nibiru X's goalkeeper Darío Friederichs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Florida Gulf Coast's zone, Isidro De Gavardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luis Nardo came out of the goal and Isidro De Gavardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro De Gavardo in the 41st minute of play forced Florida Gulf Coast's goalkeeper Luis Nardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Nibiru X's Isidro De Gavardo in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Florida Gulf Coast's goalie prevented a goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lukáš Katačić was the one to do the kick off. The Nibiru X fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when Nibiru X's Román Grebe looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
