In the 16th minute, Percival Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brasibetanõ Pænthers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After 23 minutes of play, Herta Budino's Davide Rinaldi made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Freddie Mattsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! 26 minutes into the game, Finn Guld threw the ball into play from the sideline. Herta Budino's Liu Ying Qing quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 26 played minutes Brasibetanõ Pænthers got a freekick which was hit by Finn Guld. 28 minutes into the match, Brasibetanõ Pænthers's goal looked a bit too open when Davide Rinaldi came free, but Freddie Mattsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herta Budino were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Brasibetanõ Pænthers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fábio Grosso took the corner. Freddie Mattsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davide Rinaldi in the 31st minute of the match. Herta Budino's Fortunato Sangermano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percival Costa in the 38th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Davide Rinaldi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Freddie Mattsson was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. If Davide Rinaldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ken Sodja in the 43rd minute of play forced Herta Budino's goalkeeper Fortunato Sangermano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Davide Rinaldi to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Brasibetanõ Pænthers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fábio Grosso was slow to take the kick. During this time Herta Budino's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of Brasibetanõ Pænthers booed when Herta Budino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codrin Tăgorean didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Brasibetanõ Pænthers's zone, Davide Rinaldi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddie Mattsson came out of the goal and Davide Rinaldi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Douglas Sandberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Fortunato Sangermano made a huge save. Herta Budino's Virgílio Furtado was substituted for Achille Di Crescenzo. In the 77th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Kleanthis Zoumakis hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. In the 78th minute of the match Kleanthis Zoumakis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Freddie Mattsson skillfully saved the ball. Freddie Mattsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Furtado in the 82nd minute of play. In the 83rd match minute, Brasibetanõ Pænthers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Douglas Sandberg to maneuver through the defense.
