The Tigers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rogelio Ezkerra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Ariel Martinez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Tim Johnstone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carl Downes in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcial Licerio saved Pingos Futbol Club from getting behind. The The Tigers fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when The Tigers's Carl Downes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pingos Futbol Club's goalkeeper Marcial Licerio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Pingos Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Downes came free, but Marcial Licerio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Tigers's Tim Johnstone proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save The Tigers from getting a goal against them. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Clemente Matteo made a kick off. A collision led to The Tigers getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. The Tigers's Tim Johnstone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Ezkerra in the 54th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Carl Downes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcial Licerio was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Nestor Naldo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tim Johnstone was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in The Tigers reached it. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Pingos Futbol Club had won after a very even match.
