After a rather tough play, Templars FC's Adelino Marques got a free kick in the 8th minute. A nice corner shot did that Tómas Planet got away a dangerous shot. Despite this André Courtois quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Márk Kovács blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marciano Fagondo having to make a save. In the 13th minute Márk Kovács shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marciano Fagondo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th match minute, Templars FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedict Cumberbatch to maneuver through the defense. Templars FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Márk Kovács was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Márk Kovács could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Marciano Fagondo made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardino Gil in the 39th minute of play forced Templars FC's goalkeeper André Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Márk Kovács was the one to do the kick off. Marciano Fagondo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márk Kovács in the 54th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Márk Kovács had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marciano Fagondo. Marciano Fagondo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonathan Sammut went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Tricolor booed when Templars FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Staffan Apelqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Templars FC had won after a very even match.
