Everardo Ganix made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Racing Club's zone, Servando Ariztimuño stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Everardo Ganix came out of the goal and Servando Ariztimuño tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute, Gordon Suarez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Everardo Ganix was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 21st minute, Gordon Suarez made a precise shot to the right of Everardo Ganix. Racing Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Gordon Suarez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Everardo Ganix read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Vanadio F.C.'s Gordon Suarez got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rıfat Şahin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Narciso Chucho fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Racing Club's protests and gave Narciso Chucho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Chucho to maneuver through the defense. If Rıfat Şahin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 43 minutes into the match, Bekir Çağan notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Racing Club's Everardo Ganix. Everardo Ganix was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Bekir Çağan was extremely unlucky when he, in the 51st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Vanadio F.C.'s Gordon Suarez got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 56 minutes into the game, Gordon Suarez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Everardo Ganix was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Leizarraga Olmedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Everardo Ganix read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Gordon Suarez might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Everardo Ganix. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gordon Suarez ran back to his position shaking his head. Bekir Çağan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Everardo Ganix came out and tried to block the shot, but Bekir Çağan slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 67th minute. Leizarraga Olmedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Everardo Ganix read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Leizarraga Olmedo struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Everardo Ganix didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vanadio F.C.. Vanadio F.C.'s Leizarraga Olmedo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 74th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal.
