Maurice Buttliger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nico Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Scott Herz in the 17th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Encanto's Osvaldinho Rocha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maurice Buttliger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Encanto were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Hemmersbacher SV's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bernardinho Paes took the corner. Encanto's Nico Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Scott Herz in the 24th minute of play. In the 26thth minute of the game Osvaldinho Rocha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hemmersbacher SV's Maurice Buttliger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 28th minute of the match, Scott Herz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nico Tasso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 30 minutes into the match, Encanto's goalkeeper Nico Tasso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luca Saenger. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Scott Herz in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nico Tasso saved Encanto from getting behind. After 32 minutes Encanto's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rory Restaino who took care of the corner kick. Hemmersbacher SV's Rory Restaino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nico Tasso in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 36th minute of the match Hemmersbacher SV got a corner. Encanto's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rory Restaino ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hemmersbacher SV's Scott Herz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nico Tasso in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Scott Herz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nico Tasso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. If Luca Saenger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 45 played minutes Encanto got a freekick which was hit by Bernardinho Paes. In the 47th minute of the match, Luca Saenger got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nico Tasso was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Hemmersbacher SV made a substitution. Adalbero Bohren replaced Ray Phaneuf. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Scott Herz was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Scott Herz in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nico Tasso saved Encanto from getting behind. Nico Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Saenger in the 54th minute of the match. Iwan Dranka hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. When Hemmersbacher SV's Scott Herz in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Encanto's goalie prevented a goal. The corner ended in Rory Restaino almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Encanto's Nico Tasso did a great save. When Igor Schwegler fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hemmersbacher SV's protests and gave Igor Schwegler a yellow card for diving instead. Igor Schwegler kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Hemmersbacher SV made a substitution. Olympio Gerste replaced Harvey Dresdner. In the 75th match minute, Hemmersbacher SV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Schwegler to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 78 minutes, João Adolfo Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Encanto's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Adolfo Santana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Beltrame Grunewald in the 85th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Encanto's Bernardinho Paes. Encanto's attentive Erasmo Hames managed to snatch the ball when Rory Restaino made a throw-in in the 86th minute of the game. Nico Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Scott Herz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute, Scott Herz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hemmersbacher SV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1.
