The audience thought a goal was coming when Atso Joenväärä got free with Daniël De Goeij in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alan das Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stuart Legzdins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Daniël De Goeij made a huge save. In the 20th minute of the match Lupere FC - DMZ got a corner. Limoeiro-PE FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Atso Joenväärä ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well done corner resulted in João de Sousa drilling the ball in to score 1-0 behind Limoeiro-PE FC's goalkeeper. 23 minutes into the match, Limoeiro-PE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Stuart Legzdins came free, but Daniël De Goeij reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Lupere FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Doni Barbosa came free, but Evaristo Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alan das Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniël De Goeij having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doni Barbosa in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evaristo Neves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29th minute of the match Limoeiro-PE FC got a corner. Lupere FC - DMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Doni Barbosa ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Limoeiro-PE FC's corner Luís Fabiano Fontes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Evaristo Neves quite easily take care of the ball. The throw-in from João de Sousa in the 36th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Limoeiro-PE FC's Doni Barbosa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sermet Tacal in the 40th minute of play forced Limoeiro-PE FC's goalkeeper Daniël De Goeij to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Neto in the 43rd minute of play forced Lupere FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Evaristo Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When Lupere FC - DMZ's Stuart Legzdins in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Daniël De Goeij was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lupere FC - DMZ's Eduardo Paraense was substituted for Vito da Silveira. Limoeiro-PE FC made a substitution. Robert Lozovan replaced Gino do Valle. Limoeiro-PE FC's Edgar Cabral was substituted for Luís Fabiano Fontes. João de Sousa made in the 74th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Sermet Tacal however managed to control. In the 87thth minute of the game Sermet Tacal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Limoeiro-PE FC's Daniël De Goeij was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 91 minutes, Doni Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Limoeiro-PE FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Doni Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniël De Goeij made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stuart Legzdins in the 93rd minute of play.
