When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Witomir Grabski took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Aristides Iztal to make any attempt to save it. In the 46th minute Fortunato De Laurentiis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aristides Iztal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
