Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lajos Tímár in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albino Maiorga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Lajos Tímár's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albino Maiorga was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Albino Maiorga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lajos Tímár in the 9th minute of play. In the 12th minute of the match, Tolek Mlekodaj tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aristides Iztal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Albino Maiorga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geraldo Velloso in the 15th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Abel Bernard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albino Maiorga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's goal looked a bit too open when Lajos Tímár came free, but Albino Maiorga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albino Maiorga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lajos Tímár, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute of the match GangsTaz F. C. got a corner. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carmelo Ishmael ran over to the corner to take the kick. 27 minutes into the match, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's goal looked a bit too open when Lajos Tímár came free, but Albino Maiorga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Santo Gonzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Demetrius Xande seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Demetrius Xande the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Deportivo Pomelo Nenene protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Demetrius Xande had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Deportivo Pomelo Nenene fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! Albino Maiorga had in the 34thth minute some difficulties stopping Carmelo Ishmael's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Pece Etoo got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute GangsTaz F. C. were awarded a corner. Carmelo Ishmael went to the cornerflag to take it. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carmelo Ishmael was slow to take the kick. During this time GangsTaz F. C.'s players had a chance to rest. The corner led to GangsTaz F. C.'s Luke Jamieson getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lajos Tímár to make the kick off. If Abel Bernard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. GangsTaz F. C.'s Aristides Iztal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ton Meulman in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Idacio in the 61st minute of play forced GangsTaz F. C.'s goalkeeper Aristides Iztal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the game, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Tomás Idacio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aristides Iztal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 75th minute Ton Meulman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aristides Iztal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. GangsTaz F. C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Carmelo Ishmael in the 89th minute. The supporters of Deportivo Pomelo Nenene booed when GangsTaz F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Iordănescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ademar Cosme shot a long shot in the 93rd minute and a light blocked Aristides Iztal hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 2-1.
