A collision led to HFA FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Godofredo Gaizko hit a great ball. Gordon Banks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdinando Di Camillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After a defensive mix-up in HFA FC's zone, Ferdinando Di Camillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gordon Banks came out of the goal and Ferdinando Di Camillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ferdinando Di Camillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gordon Banks having to interfere. Gordon Banks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Pascali in the 23rd minute of the match. Ferdinando Di Camillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gordon Banks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damiano Di Nucci in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, HFA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdinando Di Camillo came free, but Gordon Banks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Coriano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Serafino Chinto came free, but Cristoforo Musso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ferdinando Di Camillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ferdinando Di Camillo in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gordon Banks saved HFA FC from getting behind. In the 46th minute, Ferdinando Di Camillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Coriano FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After the first half Coriano FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hermengildo Gorka to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by C.J. De la Sotta in the 52nd minute of play forced Coriano FC's goalkeeper Cristoforo Musso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristoforo Musso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Gorka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 59 minutes Coriano FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was C.J. De la Sotta who took care of the corner kick. Ferdinando Di Camillo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gordon Banks having to make a save. Cristoforo Musso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafino Chinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. HFA FC were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Coriano FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. C.J. De la Sotta took the corner. A hard shot 70 in the game by Ferdinando Di Camillo from a close distance when the talented Gordon Banks managed to make a qualified save. HFA FC's players were relieved. Godofredo Gaizko hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Alberto Pascali came free with the goalkeeper in the 75th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gordon Banks could save by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Ferdinando Di Camillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coriano FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferdinando Di Camillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gordon Banks breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Coriano FC's Damiano Di Nucci got a free kick in the 84th minute. Coriano FC's Alberto Pascali quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Godofredo Gaizko, made in the 85th minute of the game. After 91 played minutes HFA FC got a freekick which was hit by Candido Estevon. After 93 played minutes HFA FC got a freekick which was hit by C.J. De la Sotta. Cristoforo Musso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermengildo Gorka, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the final whistle sounded Coriano FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than HFA FC.
