The audience was convinced that Norberto-Osvaldo Alonso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabriel Van Dyck was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Esteco's Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Holger Brandhøj in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, Paul-Émile Larousse threw the ball into play from the sideline. Esteco's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Alex Wenike 36 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. After some careless play in the Uggeløse SIK defense, Norberto-Osvaldo Alonso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gabriel Van Dyck. The Uggeløse SIK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gabriel Van Dyck should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Holger Brandhøj was the one to do the kick off. Lorenzo Boni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Gabriel Van Dyck made a huge save. If Holger Brandhøj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
