In the 8th minute Dudu Georgescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Luiz de Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Luiz de Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niculae Şantău, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. André Luiz de Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niculae Şantău, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. André Luiz de Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Minerul Baita -MM- were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Mendes in the 87th minute of play forced Minerul Baita -MM-'s goalkeeper Nistor Maghiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dan Bogdan hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. André Luiz de Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cédric Payen in the 95th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Minerul Baita -MM- walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
