The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eugen Remus came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Pan FC's 许明卫. But to his dismay, 许明卫 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Will Alderson got free with Sebastian Quirce in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sebastian Quirce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Almiron, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After some careless play in the Greenbay defense, 许明卫 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eugen Remus. The Greenbay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eugen Remus should have stopped the shot. 许明卫 might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eugen Remus. Pan FC's Primitivo Laurendi managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Rupert Alsop in the 36 minute of the game. When Ambrosio Opilano came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Pan FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ambrosio Opilano couldn't finish the play. Eugen Remus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 许明卫, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the game, Pan FC's 许明卫 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eugen Remus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Pan FC made a substitution. Erki Uba replaced Primitivo Laurendi. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Pan FC's Arnaldo Urtzi was substituted for 许明卫. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arnaldo Urtzi to strike the kick off in the second half. Rupert Alsop made in the 54th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Pan FC's Erki Uba. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Greenbay's goalkeeper Eugen Remus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Greenbay's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 63 minutes into the match, Arnaldo Urtzi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eugen Remus, 0-4. Pan FC's Sebastian Quirce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mesut Özil in the 67th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Pan FC were awarded a corner. Esteve Cordarrel went to the cornerflag to take it. The Pan FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pan FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
