An unexpectedly hard shot by Pipis Karapatakis in the 10th minute of play forced Stat Veritas FC's goalkeeper Mauricio Erramun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauricio Erramun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pipis Karapatakis in the 13th minute of play. Pipis Karapatakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Mauricio Erramun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mauricio Erramun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pipis Karapatakis in the 23rd minute. The supporters of Grêmio FBPA booed when Stat Veritas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Anaya didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jardel Sanches took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Dantae, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th match minute, Grêmio FBPA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filiph Biörling to maneuver through the defense. The Grêmio FBPA players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Stat Veritas FC were winning 0-1.

Filiph Biörling charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filiph Biörling the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Grêmio FBPA's Filiph Biörling got a free kick in the 57th minute. Stat Veritas FC made a substitution. Eduardo Domeka replaced Wincent Lizewski. After 58 played minutes Grêmio FBPA got a freekick which was hit by Filiph Biörling. With an all-out effort, Stat Veritas FC's Jardel Sanches threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ziemowit Dembowski, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Pipis Karapatakis came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Grêmio FBPA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pipis Karapatakis couldn't finish the play. In the 66th minute, Diamantino Cabral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grêmio FBPA's Jardel Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Gili in the 67th minute of play. Mauricio Erramun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pipis Karapatakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mauricio Erramun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pipis Karapatakis went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Ziemowit Dembowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Grêmio FBPA's Ted Hoogenkamp was substituted for Filiph Biörling. Jardel Sanches showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ziemowit Dembowski in the 83rd minute of the match. Grêmio FBPA's Pipis Karapatakis got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mauricio Erramun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ted Hoogenkamp in the 95th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
