Jeremy Nicholas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Barrio Norte FC's Valentin Ospetsu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Barrio Norte FC from getting a goal against them. 20 minutes into the match, Barrio Norte FC's goalkeeper Valentin Ospetsu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgardo Silva. 23 minutes into the game, Edgardo Silva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Valentin Ospetsu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 34th minute, New England Minas's Edgardo Silva dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. The supporters of New England Minas booed when Barrio Norte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Luis Potts didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Barrio Norte FC's Juan Luis Potts managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Tio Lio in the 62 minute of the game. Mai Ao Si's late challenge caught a New England Minas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mai Ao Si helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Barrio Norte FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Mai Ao Si hit a great ball. In the 64th minute of the match Glen Conklin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valentin Ospetsu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hao Jian Yuan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Jeremy Nicholas made a huge save. New England Minas's Zachery Church was substituted for Roman Major. After some careless play in the New England Minas defense, Ofelio Galván kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeremy Nicholas. The New England Minas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeremy Nicholas should have stopped the shot. New England Minas's Arturo Sito was substituted for Tio Lio. New England Minas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Hao Jian Yuan scored to the left of an out of position Jeremy Nicholas, making the score, 2-3. Jeremy Nicholas made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Ofelio Galván sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Ofelio Galván kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jeremy Nicholas. That made the score 2-4 in the 86 minute of play. After 90 minutes New England Minas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Vitório de Medeiros who took care of the corner kick. Jeremy Nicholas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hao Jian Yuan in the 92nd minute of the match. Valentin Ospetsu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antonio Valente's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Barrio Norte FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
