The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Magallanes's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Frutos came free, but Jimeno Nevada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club Atlético Magallanes's Jimeno Nevada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Frutos in the 13th minute of play. Osvaldo Frutos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jimeno Nevada having to make a save. Club Atlético Magallanes's Jimeno Nevada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Frutos in the 16th minute of play. Valentin Ospetsu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavino Rami, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valentin Ospetsu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavino Rami in the 28th minute of play. Club Atlético Magallanes's Jimeno Nevada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Frutos in the 35th minute of play. Victor Hugo Pinilla's late challenge caught a Club Atlético Magallanes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victor Hugo Pinilla helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Barrio Norte FC's Victor Hugo Pinilla got a free kick in the 40th minute. Barrio Norte FC's Valentin Ospetsu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavino Rami in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavino Rami in the 43rd minute of play forced Barrio Norte FC's goalkeeper Valentin Ospetsu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Club Atlético Magallanes made a substitution. Manoel Barros replaced Tadeo Precioso. In the 61st minute, Gavino Rami ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valentin Ospetsu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 66th minute Gavino Rami shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Ospetsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan Sierocki in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valentin Ospetsu saved Barrio Norte FC from getting behind. Barrio Norte FC's Don Elias was substituted for Yerko Son. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barrio Norte FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ruperto Salvadore was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atlético Magallanes's players had a chance to rest. When Barrio Norte FC's Ofelio Galván in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The crowd rose to their feet as Ofelio Galván kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jimeno Nevada. That made the score 1-1 in the 79 minute of play. Valentin Ospetsu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jan Sierocki's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. If Manoel Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jimeno Nevada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ofelio Galván, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the match, Barrio Norte FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gavino Rami came free, but Valentin Ospetsu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jimeno Nevada made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Ofelio Galván sent off a good shot on target. Vitório de Medeiros hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute, Ruperto Salvadore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valentin Ospetsu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Sierocki, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Barrio Norte FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Club Atlético Magallanes from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
