The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7thth minute of the game Leszek Cupial who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rebentala FC's Remzi İçten was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 12th minute Sliema Dragons FC were awarded a corner. Baran Erozan went to the cornerflag to take it. Baran Erozan made a great header on Sliema Dragons FC's corner, it was just that Rebentala FC's Remzi İçten managed to reach the ball for a save. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Kim Bolas sped through Rebentala FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Remzi İçten. Thanks to some nice moves Jiang Yong could shoot a difficult shot in the 17th minute, which Barrie Kerridge however easily saved by the left post. Leszek Cupial fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remzi İçten having to interfere. Remzi İçten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kim Bolas in the 38th minute of play. Rebentala FC's Patricio Pelayo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Leszek Cupial in the 44 minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hazım Cilasun to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kim Bolas in the 53rd minute of play forced Rebentala FC's goalkeeper Remzi İçten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rebentala FC's Remzi İçten proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Rebentala FC from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Rebentala FC's Remzi İçten got control of the ball when Leszek Cupial tried to sneak it across the goal line. Remzi İçten made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leszek Cupial in the 59th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Hazım Cilasun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sliema Dragons FC's Baran Erozan shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 96th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Remzi İçten but with some difficulty. The Sliema Dragons FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
