Miradeses FC's Peter Sparks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dunixi Laurenciano in the 15th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Sebastián Coates was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Miradeses FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maccabi Netanya the free kick. In the 18th match minute, Miradeses FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastián Coates to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute of the match Ahmet Danış Keçecioğlu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Peter Sparks showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Morris Zemp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miradeses FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Morris Zemp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raul Zoff breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raul Zoff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hilário Meira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ahmet Danış Keçecioğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Sparks having to interfere. Peter Sparks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dunixi Laurenciano in the 39th minute of play. In the 43rd minute Dunixi Laurenciano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Sparks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tadmor Netaniyahu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tadmor Netaniyahu got free with Peter Sparks in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peter Sparks had in the 77thth minute some difficulties stopping Tadmor Netaniyahu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Jaques Domtov charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaques Domtov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 78th minute, Jaques Domtov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miradeses FC made a substitution. André Lousada replaced Sebastián Coates. In the 83rd match minute, Miradeses FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teo De Jong to maneuver through the defense. Miradeses FC's Peter Sparks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dunixi Laurenciano in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute of the match Maccabi Netanya got a corner. Miradeses FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Peter Sparks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tadmor Netaniyahus short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Peter Sparks to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Nuno Carreira kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. Tadmor Netaniyahu struck a weak shot in the 99th minute. Peter Sparks didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maccabi Netanya. Maccabi Netanya's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
