Lorenzo Ellis charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lorenzo Ellis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Karl-Magnus Harlén came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Drottningens Parkväktare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Magnus Harlén couldn't finish the play. After 8 played minutes American Top Team got a freekick which was hit by Quincy Nolan. 9 minutes into the game, Vladimír Šach cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Trevor Michaud was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nunez Gabino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Trevor Michaud made a huge save. An unexpected shot in the 15th minute by Bernt Browald got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 17th minute of the match, Nunez Gabino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Trevor Michaud saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Karl-Magnus Harlén's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Trevor Michaud read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Emil Ciuvică succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 21st playminute. Trevor Michaud didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emil Ciuvică went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. 30 minutes into the match, Nunez Gabino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Trevor Michaud, 4-0. American Top Team's Trevor Michaud played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Magnus Harlén in the 35th minute of play. After 36 minutes of play, Drottningens Parkväktare's Emil Ciuvică made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Trevor Michaud was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 41st play minute Karl-Magnus Harlén came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Trevor Michaud. 6-0. The supporters of American Top Team booed when Drottningens Parkväktare was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magne Holmgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnoldo Short was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, American Top Team's goal looked a bit too open when Nunez Gabino came free, but Trevor Michaud reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trevor Michaud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Magnus Harlén in the 58th minute of play. Vincent Waller kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After 62nd play minutes Karl-Magnus Harlén shot 7-0, a short shot which went by Trevor Michaud and just under the crossbar into goal. After some careless play in the American Top Team defense, Vladimír Šach kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Trevor Michaud. The American Top Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Trevor Michaud should have stopped the shot. In the 69th minute, Bernt Browald left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Drottningens Parkväktare fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. In the 73rd minute Emil Ciuvică shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trevor Michaud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the American Top Team defense, Karl-Magnus Harlén kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Trevor Michaud. The American Top Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Trevor Michaud should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, American Top Team's Arnoldo Short got a free kick in the 77th minute. 79 minutes into the match, American Top Team's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Magnus Harlén came free, but Trevor Michaud reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Emil Ciuvică had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Trevor Michaud. American Top Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emil Ciuvică was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 11-0. Trevor Michaud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Magnus Harlén, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in American Top Team's zone, Emil Ciuvică stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trevor Michaud came out of the goal and Emil Ciuvică tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Magnus Harlén in the 93rd minute of play forced American Top Team's goalkeeper Trevor Michaud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Drottningens Parkväktare were the better team. Drottningens Parkväktare's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
