Sten Melberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lars Grep. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sten Melberg ran back to his position shaking his head. After 9 played minutes Sten Melberg rounded Besiktas's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Besiktas's goalkeeper Lars Grep had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sten Melberg. Sten Melberg scored 2-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lars Grep, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sten Melberg scored 3-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lars Grep, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. George Kristiansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Oskar Nykvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Sten Melbergs short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Lars Grep to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 25 minutes into the game, Sten Melberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lars Grep. Sten Melberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. Lars Grep showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sten Melberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After a rather tough play, Besiktas's André Pettersson got a free kick in the 31st minute. Sten Melberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sten Melberg got free with Lars Grep in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Besiktas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Sten Melberg scored to the left of an out of position Lars Grep, making the score, 5-0. Edu Loss blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lars Grep having to make a save. Lars Grep was a little too slow when Sten Melberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 6-0. In the 44th minute, Sten Melberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sten Melberg was the one to do the kick off. André Pettersson made in the 51st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Edwin Sundin immediately put the ball in play. 53 minutes into the game, Sten Melberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Lars Grep was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Sten Melberg put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Lars Grep. If Edu Loss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Di Röe made a substitution. Romeo Gologan replaced Sten Melberg. Di Röe's Ivan Drake was substituted for Edu Loss. After 62 minutes, Alonzo Boñar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Besiktas and the Di Röe players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 62 played minutes Besiktas got a freekick which was hit by Alonzo Boñar. The Di Röe fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Di Röe's Ivan Drake looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 11-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Romeo Gologan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lars Grep came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Di Röe's Romeo Gologan. But to his dismay, Romeo Gologan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 12-0. 13-0 became the score in the 85th minute when Romeo Gologan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 90 minutes into the match, Ivan Drake notched a goal, 14-0, to the right of Besiktas's Lars Grep. Lars Grep was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Di Röe had played much better football throughout.
