In the 20th minute of the match SV Balverliefd got a corner. Perros del sur's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Philippe-Arnaud Van Cleijnenbreugel ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on SV Balverliefd's corner Philippe-Arnaud Van Cleijnenbreugel fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Miguel Orlondon quite easily take care of the ball. Miguel Orlondon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Steven Homan went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Donato Viator sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yorrick Zoethout made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Chesus in the 31st minute of play. In the 44th minute, SV Balverliefd's Benny De Potter seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Benny De Potter the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SV Balverliefd protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Benny De Potter had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Yorrick Zoethout had in the 46thth minute some difficulties stopping Teodosio Goren's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donato Viator was the one to do the kick off. Teodosio Goren hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Perros del sur's zone, Felix van As stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Orlondon came out of the goal and Felix van As tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Felix van As could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Miguel Orlondon made a huge save. In the 87th minute Felix van As shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Orlondon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Perros del sur defense, Felix van As kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miguel Orlondon. The Perros del sur fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miguel Orlondon should have stopped the shot. After having played for 91 minutes, Melker Gudmundsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SV Balverliefd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melker Gudmundsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
