After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Waclaw Dubiel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Przemysl's supporters rose to their feet, but Waclaw Dubiel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciriaco Macias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 14 minutes into the match, Przemysl's goalkeeper Jeffry Latuperisa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristo Basajaun. Jeffry Latuperisa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heigo Luiga in the 20th minute of play. Jeffry Latuperisa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heigo Luiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Tymoteusz Wodaszak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ciriaco Macias came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Przemysl's Cezary Plaski. But to his dismay, Cezary Plaski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With a little luck, Przemysl's Jeffry Latuperisa got control of the ball when Heigo Luiga tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Heigo Luiga to make the kick off. The supporters of C.A.Independiente booed when Przemysl was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position.
