Kurt Hamrin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Juvenal Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Keegan came free, but Juvenal Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juvenal Moreira made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Chen Ao Fan sent off a good shot on target. Olov Wahlnäs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl Pointon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Russell Bennett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juvenal Moreira was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Chen Ao Fan. Karl Pointon kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Olov Wahlnäs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl Pointon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Pointon in the 32nd minute of play forced Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Olov Wahlnäs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34 played minutes Lisburn Distillery F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Jo Tabb. Juvenal Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Hamrin in the 39th minute of the match. Skövde AIK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Chen Ao Fan in the 42nd minute. After taking down the ball on Skövde AIK's corner Chen Ao Fan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Juvenal Moreira quite easily take care of the ball. Skövde AIK's Olov Wahlnäs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Pointon in the 44th minute of play. Juvenal Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Keegan in the 46th minute of play. Chen Ao Fan hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jo Tabb stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Russell Bennett kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Skövde AIK's Kurt Hamrin got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olov Wahlnäs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neil Deacon in the 56th minute of play. Lisburn Distillery F.C. were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after Skövde AIK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Neil Deacon took the corner. Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s Jo Tabb was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Olov Wahlnäs in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 67 minutes into the match, Skövde AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Neil Deacon came free, but Olov Wahlnäs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Lisburn Distillery F.C. getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Karl Pointon hit a great ball. Skövde AIK's Jerry Williams was substituted for Chen Ao Fan. After 69 played minutes Lisburn Distillery F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Karl Pointon. After 71 minutes, Vinnie Talbot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lisburn Distillery F.C. and the Skövde AIK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vinnie Talbot kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. That made the score 0-1 in the 78 minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Olov Wahlnäs had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jo Tabb. 82 minutes into the match, Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jerry Williams came free, but Juvenal Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Skövde AIK getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Hans Petersson hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christopher Shuttleworth in the 90th minute of play forced Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Olov Wahlnäs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lisburn Distillery F.C. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
