Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernardo Caballero in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uriel Chorche prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Uriel Chorche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicklas Trøjgaard in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Bernard Ochabski made a precise shot to the right of Sture Abrahamsson. Bajen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 23 minutes into the match, Defensores del Ángel Gris's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Norberg came free, but Uriel Chorche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidney Porto in the 30th minute of play forced Defensores del Ángel Gris's goalkeeper Uriel Chorche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Nicklas Trøjgaard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Uriel Chorche was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After a rather tough play, Bajen's Karl-Magnus Åkesson got a free kick in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sidney Porto was the one to do the kick off. Bajen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfonso Gilabert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eleuterio Estebano in the 93rd minute of play forced Bajen's goalkeeper Sture Abrahamsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
