Gualter Roriz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quentin Gonzalez in the 13th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Delta FS's goal looked a bit too open when Quentin Gonzalez came free, but Gualter Roriz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zarando Lastras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Odin in the 14th minute of play. Benjamin Peio came free with the goalkeeper in the 23rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gualter Roriz could save by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amedeo De Matteis in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zarando Lastras saved Atlético Maravilla from getting behind. Atlético Maravilla's Zarando Lastras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Odin in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Dionisio Hidalgo made a precise shot to the right of Gualter Roriz. Delta FS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 35th minute Dionisio Hidalgo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualter Roriz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gualter Roriz was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Dionisio Hidalgo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dionisio Hidalgo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. 43 minutes into the game, Delta FS's Amedeo De Matteis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zarando Lastras made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 46th minute of the game. One of Delta FS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Atlético Maravilla:s goal. Gualter Roriz had in the 47thth minute some difficulties stopping Benjamin Peio's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 47th minute, Benjamin Peio made a precise shot to the right of Gualter Roriz. Delta FS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The wind increased when Benjamin Peio made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Delta FS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kong Xi Liang to maneuver through the defense. Zarando Lastras made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Amedeo De Matteis sent off a good shot on target. In the 57th minute Quentin Gonzalez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualter Roriz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atlético Maravilla's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leopoldo de Queiroz in the 58th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andaka Mula got free with Zarando Lastras in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Honorato Arraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zarando Lastras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andaka Mula in the 63rd minute of the match. Zarando Lastras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Odin, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Marcus Odin might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zarando Lastras. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcus Odin ran back to his position shaking his head. After 96 minutes of play, Delta FS's Andaka Mula made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zarando Lastras was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle went the supporters of Delta FS were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Atlético Maravilla side.
