In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind São Francisco FC86's goalkeeper Hudson de Carvalho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fletcher Greenan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlinhos Freitas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 minutes, Denis Sabino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the São Francisco FC86 and the AA GUARULHOS players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Furo Rede to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Remigio Finlay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hudson de Carvalho was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. AA GUARULHOS's Carlinhos Freitas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Furo Rede in the 59th minute of play. Ronaldo Pinheiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Carlinhos Freitas made a huge save. Denis Sabino got his second yellow card in the match during the 65th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Denis Sabino kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Hudson de Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remigio Finlay in the 69th minute of play. AA GUARULHOS's Carlinhos Freitas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save AA GUARULHOS from getting a goal against them. In the 74th minute, Remigio Finlay left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AA GUARULHOS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Carlinhos Freitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Furo Rede in the 78th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, São Francisco FC86's goal looked a bit too open when Remigio Finlay came free, but Hudson de Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Maltez made in the 87th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by AA GUARULHOS's Jacobo Porfirio. 88 minutes into the match, AA GUARULHOS's Remigio Finlay sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hudson de Carvalho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 91 minutes into the game, Remigio Finlay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Hudson de Carvalho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 95 minutes, Remigio Finlay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AA GUARULHOS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remigio Finlay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. AA GUARULHOS had played much better football throughout.
