A very good chance for a goal. 18 minutes into the match, AA GUARULHOS's Remigio Finlay sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wojciech Duda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 34thth minute of the game Elmo Jaanovits who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AA GUARULHOS's Carlinhos Freitas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Academia FC's Giovani Lo Celso was substituted for Asko Kuul. The wind increased when Remigio Finlay made the kick off in the second half. Jacobo Porfirio made a great header on AA GUARULHOS's corner, it was just that Academia FC's Wojciech Duda managed to reach the ball for a save. Owen Ramsden helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th match minute, AA GUARULHOS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Owen Ramsden to maneuver through the defense.
