The audience thought a goal was coming when Isidro Modestio got free with Carlinhos Freitas in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Walery Balkiewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remigio Finlay, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After some careless play in the AA GUARULHOS defense, Di Stefano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlinhos Freitas. The AA GUARULHOS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlinhos Freitas should have stopped the shot.

Simon Esquipula hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute, Remigio Finlay reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Walery Balkiewicz. The goal made the score 1-3. Carlinhos Freitas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tancredo Hondaro went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score.
