Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wilhelm Nienhaus started the match with the kick off. Benedikt Bensch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Remus Vuia made a huge save. Remus Vuia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedikt Bensch in the 5th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goal looked a bit too open when Valeriu Zoreanu came free, but Rune Jarstein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remus Vuia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Remus Vuia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilhelm Nienhaus's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Granicerul's goalkeeper Remus Vuia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gigel Elenescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Remus Vuia made a huge save. Rune Jarstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinu Pelin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Wilhelm Nienhaus took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Remus Vuia to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jack Ares in the 21st minute of play forced Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stefan Mayer hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Rune Jarstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Ares in the 25th minute of play. Wilhelm Nienhaus who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Remus Vuia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 31 minutes into the game, Granicerul's Iordache Ioneasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rune Jarstein made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 34th minute Wilhelm Nienhaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remus Vuia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remus Vuia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Rune Jarstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iordache Ioneasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 38th minute of play forced Granicerul's goalkeeper Remus Vuia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Hertha 1969 fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Hertha 1969's Wilhelm Nienhaus looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Granicerul's Remus Vuia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Granicerul from getting a goal against them. Zé Paulo da Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

50 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Ares came free, but Rune Jarstein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Wilhelm Nienhaus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Remus Vuia was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. In the 53rd minute Hertha 1969 were awarded a corner. Moritz Hasenjäger went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Moritz Hasenjäger almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Granicerul's Remus Vuia did a great save. Remus Vuia was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Granicerul booed when Hertha 1969 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedikt Bensch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Hertha 1969 from getting a goal against them. Remus Vuia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Paulo da Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilhelm Nienhaus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remus Vuia having to interfere. Remus Vuia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedikt Bensch in the 70th minute of play. If Zé Paulo da Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Granicerul's Remus Vuia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jack Ares in the 79th minute of play forced Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rune Jarstein made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dinu Pelin in the 80th minute. Remus Vuia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 84th minute of the match. In the 88th minute of the match, Jack Ares tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rune Jarstein saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a little luck, Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein got control of the ball when Iordache Ioneasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Hertha 1969 had won after a very even match.
