The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the match, Rova Rosiori's goal looked a bit too open when Wilhelm Nienhaus came free, but Paul Dumitru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paul Dumitru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 12th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Rova Rosiori's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Paulo da Silva came free, but Paul Dumitru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute Kristian Oswald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Dumitru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ren Feng Guang kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Paul Dumitru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Paul Dumitru didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zé Paulo da Silva went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 38 minutes into the match, Rova Rosiori's goal looked a bit too open when Gigel Elenescu came free, but Paul Dumitru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rova Rosiori's Paul Dumitru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gigel Elenescu in the 41st minute of play. Ştefan Aelenei hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilhelm Nienhaus was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Ştefan Aelenei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paul Dumitru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gigel Elenescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Paul Dumitru came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Hertha 1969's Gigel Elenescu. But to his dismay, Gigel Elenescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gigel Elenescu in the 57th minute of play forced Rova Rosiori's goalkeeper Paul Dumitru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paul Dumitru was a little too slow when Gigel Elenescu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 0-6. Zé Paulo da Silva came free with the goalkeeper in the 62nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Paul Dumitru could save by the left post. After 67th play minutes Zé Paulo da Silva shot 0-8, a short shot which went by Paul Dumitru and just under the crossbar into goal. Zé Paulo da Silva's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Paul Dumitru firmly grabbed it by the left post. Wilhelm Nienhaus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Paul Dumitru made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilhelm Nienhaus got free with Paul Dumitru in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kristian Oswald succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-9 in the 83rd playminute. Paul Dumitru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigel Elenescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Paulo da Silva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Paul Dumitru made a huge save. Lothar Heber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lothar Heber's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paul Dumitru read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Paul Dumitru was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Lothar Heber capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lothar Heber really showed his touch with that goal: 0-10. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gigel Elenescu in the 94th minute of play forced Rova Rosiori's goalkeeper Paul Dumitru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute, Constantin Stegaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hertha 1969's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
