The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Cyprian Oliszewski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mané Quirino was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Cyprian Oliszewski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Mané Quirino made a huge save. Jaroslaw Maurycy was extremely unlucky when he, in the 12th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Goiás Esporte Clube's Mané Quirino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Goiás Esporte Clube from getting a goal against them. 20 minutes into the match, Goiás Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Jaroslaw Maurycy came free, but Mané Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the game, ORIZABA F.C.'s Cyprian Oliszewski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mané Quirino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Cyprian Oliszewski who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Mané Quirino when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mané Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cyprian Oliszewski in the 36th minute of play. Mané Quirino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edelmiro Ramone went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Benigno Ixona hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Cyprian Oliszewski kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mané Quirino. That made the score 5-0 in the 46 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgard Cabral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. ORIZABA F.C.'s Cyprian Oliszewski got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 55 minutes, Fausto Beattie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ORIZABA F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Beattie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Goiás Esporte Clube's Mané Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyprian Oliszewski in the 58th minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, ORIZABA F.C.'s Cyprian Oliszewski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mané Quirino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Mané Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Kosakowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgard Cabral during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. ORIZABA F.C.'s Orhan Bey was substituted for Amílton Loyola. The supporters of ORIZABA F.C. booed when Goiás Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th match minute, Goiás Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafim Cunha to maneuver through the defense. 76 minutes into the match, Goiás Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Kosakowski came free, but Mané Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mané Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gică Bogdan, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Kosakowski in the 78th minute of play forced Goiás Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Mané Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mané Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cyprian Oliszewski in the 80th minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Julian Kosakowski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Mané Quirino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 87th minute Julian Kosakowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mané Quirino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cyprian Oliszewski went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Cyprian Oliszewski took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mané Quirino. Mané Quirino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ORIZABA F.C. fully deserved thier win.
