Mané Quirino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. But to his dismay, Tomasz Boruta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 34th minute Xu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomasz Boruta in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mané Quirino saved Goiás Esporte Clube from getting behind. If Tomasz Boruta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomasz Boruta in the 38th minute of play forced Goiás Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Mané Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
