The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Zygmunt Jarmulowicz came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the WZG Sandomierz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zygmunt Jarmulowicz couldn't finish the play. 6 minutes into the match, Wisła Kraków's Ermanno Puglielli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfred Dziatkowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, WZG Sandomierz's goal looked a bit too open when Ermanno Puglielli came free, but Alfred Dziatkowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zygmunt Jarmulowicz in the 25th minute of play forced Wisła Kraków's goalkeeper Roch Zdeb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roch Zdeb made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zygmunt Jarmulowicz in the 28th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kenny Lightfoot during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, WZG Sandomierz's Kenny Lightfoot got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Wisła Kraków's zone, Zygmunt Jarmulowicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roch Zdeb came out of the goal and Zygmunt Jarmulowicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zygmunt Jarmulowicz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roch Zdeb having to make a save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Ermanno Puglielli made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zygmunt Jarmulowicz in the 53rd minute of play forced Wisła Kraków's goalkeeper Roch Zdeb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Wisła Kraków getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Slawomir Galagan hit a great ball. The supporters of WZG Sandomierz booed when Wisła Kraków was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Widodo 吕蒙 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wisła Kraków's Roch Zdeb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariusz Basaik in the 58th minute of play. Zygmunt Jarmulowicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Roch Zdeb tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roch Zdeb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariusz Basaik, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 67 minutes into the game, Slawomir Galagan threw the ball into play from the sideline. WZG Sandomierz's Damazy Puch quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. WZG Sandomierz's attentive Damazy Puch managed to snatch the ball when Afonso Rochedo made a throw-in in the 68th minute of the game. Ermanno Puglielli received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alfred Dziatkowski came out and tried to block the shot, but Ermanno Puglielli slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 73rd minute. WZG Sandomierz's Damazy Puch managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Slawomir Galagan in the 76 minute of the game. WZG Sandomierz's Andrzej Juskowiak was substituted for Zygmunt Jarmulowicz. The supporters of Wisła Kraków booed when WZG Sandomierz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariusz Basaik didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Wisła Kraków's goal looked a bit too open when Andrzej Juskowiak came free, but Roch Zdeb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the game, Slawomir Galagan threw the ball into play from the sideline. WZG Sandomierz's Damazy Puch quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Hugon Falk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Dziatkowski having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
