When the match had been going on for 3 minutes, Purcaresti CSS's Iustin Radovan got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Loris Karius. Loris Karius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iustin Radovan in the 7th minute of the match. In the 9th minute Iustin Radovan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loris Karius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valer Șişman's late challenge caught a RWD Molenbeek's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valer Șişman helped the player get up and apologised. Loris Karius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iustin Radovan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 24 minutes, Valer Șişman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Purcaresti CSS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valer Șişman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. RWD Molenbeek's Oséas Guimarães got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Loris Karius stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iustin Radovan's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Ofelio Lagunas kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. With a little luck, RWD Molenbeek's Loris Karius got control of the ball when Valer Șişman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Inocencio Guipuzkoa hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the match, Iustin Radovan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Loris Karius, 2-1. A collision led to RWD Molenbeek getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Lucas Trigo hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Lucas Trigo made the kick off in the second half. In a very dangerous position, a player in RWD Molenbeek fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 65th minute. Penalty! David Zamfirescu made a great header on Purcaresti CSS's corner, it was just that RWD Molenbeek's Loris Karius managed to reach the ball for a save. 75 minutes into the match, RWD Molenbeek's goal looked a bit too open when Valer Șişman came free, but Loris Karius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valer Șişman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loris Karius having to interfere. The supporters of RWD Molenbeek booed when Purcaresti CSS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinand Arghiroiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Iustin Radovan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Loris Karius. RWD Molenbeek's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iustin Radovan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Loris Karius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ioan Bornescu in the 88th minute of the match. If Inocencio Guipuzkoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the RWD Molenbeek defense, Emanuel Șerbulea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Loris Karius. The RWD Molenbeek fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Loris Karius should have stopped the shot. Loris Karius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iustin Radovan, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. After 97 played minutes RWD Molenbeek got a freekick which was hit by Alfredão Miranda. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Zamfirescu in the 98th minute of play forced RWD Molenbeek's goalkeeper Loris Karius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Purcaresti CSS had won after a very even match.
