FPRMZ's Rafinha Massa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 21stth minute of the game François Rouvrais who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's Pedro Augusto Neto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 23 minutes into the match, FC Hamburg's goal looked a bit too open when Øyvind Gilje came free, but Johnny Banks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Øyvind Gilje cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Johnny Banks was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thoralf Blohm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Augusto Neto having to interfere. Alfredão Massa's late challenge caught a FC Hamburg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfredão Massa helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Alfredão Massa hit a great ball. Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's Pedro Augusto Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by François Rouvrais in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernando Barros was the one to do the kick off. Alfredão Massa hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's Alfredão Massa got a free kick in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by François Rouvrais in the 60th minute of play forced Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's goalkeeper Pedro Augusto Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's Pedro Augusto Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by François Rouvrais in the 63rd minute of play. The supporters of Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ booed when FC Hamburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingolf Appenzeller didn't get a good kick on the ball. FPRMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Øyvind Gilje in the 70th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Rafinha Massa heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. FC Hamburg's Rainer Bethge was substituted for Markus Heimrath. Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's Pedro Augusto Neto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ from getting a goal against them. The FC Hamburg fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when FC Hamburg's François Rouvrais looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's Hílton Tande was substituted for Fernando Barros. In the 80th minute, Muhammad Bejaoui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Johnny Banks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hílton Tande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Johnny Banks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Øyvind Gilje in the 89th minute of play. François Rouvrais could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Pedro Augusto Neto made a huge save. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
