Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pompiliu Roşculeţ to make the kick off. FC Hamburg's Johnny Banks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uğur Akdurmuş in the 67th minute of play. Eléctricos F.C.'s Urre Leis quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hendrik Holletschek, made in the 70th minute of the game. Johnny Banks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uğur Akdurmuş in the 73rd minute of play. François Rouvrais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eléctricos F.C. made a substitution. Cruz Guareña replaced Peter Talvik. FC Hamburg's Rafael Pausch was substituted for Manfred Kottsieper. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Hamburg's goalkeeper Johnny Banks, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cui Xuan Zhou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Muhammad Bejaoui, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Jérémie Sarmiento took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Johnny Banks. Johnny Banks dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Hamburg players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Eléctricos F.C..
