Gökberk Özgenc started the match with the kick off. Tiberiu Rotariu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 3 minutes into the match. Tiberiu Rotariu kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Vlad Covrig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gökberk Özgenc in the 10th minute of the match. Vlad Covrig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Baggio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Westra Aros SK's zone, Mircea Jupân stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Västlund came out of the goal and Mircea Jupân tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute, Cristinel Uncheşelu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st play minute Gökberk Özgenc came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Vlad Covrig. 1-0. Westra Aros SK were furious when Ingo Kuster was red carded, 28 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 30th minute there was a penalty for PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca. Lucian Şimonca stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ivan Västlund. 1-1. An unexpected shot in the 33rd minute by Normando Portillo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Gökberk Özgenc in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vlad Covrig, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 39 minutes into the match, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goal looked a bit too open when Gökberk Özgenc came free, but Vlad Covrig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gökberk Özgenc could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Vlad Covrig made a huge save. In the 44th minute, Gökberk Özgenc ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vlad Covrig was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Mircea Jupân made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hokky Snoobar in the 56th minute of play forced PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goalkeeper Vlad Covrig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mircea Jupân scored 3-2 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivan Västlund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ivan Västlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mircea Jupân in the 64th minute of the match. Vlad Covrig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gökberk Özgenc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 69 minutes of play, Westra Aros SK's Gökberk Özgenc made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vlad Covrig was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Gökberk Özgenc in the 74th minute of play forced PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goalkeeper Vlad Covrig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sonny Bäckström's late challenge caught a PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sonny Bäckström helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Westra Aros SK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 85th minute. Penalty! Westra Aros SK's attentive Alexander Mendoza managed to snatch the ball when Cristinel Uncheşelu made a throw-in in the 90th minute of the game. In the 90th minute, Sonny Bäckström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olimpiu Fecioru made in the 93rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Westra Aros SK's Normando Portillo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gökberk Özgenc in the 94th minute of play forced PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goalkeeper Vlad Covrig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Westra Aros SK had won after a very even match.
