In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Artevasi F.C's goalkeeper Mateus Perdigão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 22nd minute Örjan Björkdahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateus Perdigão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Örjan Björkdahl had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mateus Perdigão. Artevasi F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Örjan Björkdahl was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Örjan Björkdahl did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Mateus Perdigão 26 minutes into the match. Artevasi F.C's Mateus Perdigão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Artevasi F.C from getting a goal against them. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Örjan Björkdahl got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Artevasi F.C's Mateus Perdigão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Artevasi F.C from getting a goal against them. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's John Osomo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alcides Antas in the 38th minute of play. Mateus Perdigão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Örjan Björkdahl's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Alcides Antas struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. John Osomo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Artevasi F.C. After 46 played minutes PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Ademar Rodrigues. In the 46th minute, Denílson Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Örjan Björkdahl was the one to do the kick off. Mateus Perdigão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Örjan Björkdahl in the 52nd minute of play. In the 58th minute Örjan Björkdahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateus Perdigão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Örjan Björkdahl took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mateus Perdigão. Mateus Perdigão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. 63 minutes into the match, Örjan Björkdahl had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mateus Perdigão. Artevasi F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Örjan Björkdahl was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. A collision led to Artevasi F.C getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. António Vilalobos hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the game, Örjan Björkdahl cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Mateus Perdigão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Örjan Björkdahl in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mateus Perdigão saved Artevasi F.C from getting behind. The throw-in from António Vilalobos in the 79th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Kléberson Guedes. 80 minutes into the game, Örjan Björkdahl cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Mateus Perdigão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 83 played minutes PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Zé Ortiz. The audience was convinced that Imran Pusaka's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but John Osomo was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Artevasi F.C defense, Örjan Björkdahl kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mateus Perdigão. The Artevasi F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mateus Perdigão should have stopped the shot. Örjan Björkdahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
