But to his dismay, Timur Chichko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 20th minute, Alp Esentürk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute, Timur Chichko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 23rd minute Timur Chichko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tudor Sălcudeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half Феникс Санкт-Петербург were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edson Nascimento made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, KARŞIYAKA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Furkan Aktan to maneuver through the defense. Rodriguinho Lara made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Timur Chichko sent off a good shot on target. If Timur Chichko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, Timur Chichko dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rodriguinho Lara, 0-4. KARŞIYAKA's Onur Övünç got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Феникс Санкт-Петербург getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Alexandr Berezin hit a great ball. Onur Övünç took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Josue Ayala. Феникс Санкт-Петербург's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Aytek İlbeyi was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 75 minutes into the match. Josue Ayala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edson Nascimento in the 79th minute of the match. Anatoliy Bogolyub fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodriguinho Lara having to interfere. Edson Nascimento succeeded in the game's 84th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-4. A sloppy throw-in by Emre Kurtuluş in the 87th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Феникс Санкт-Петербург's Anatoliy Bogolyub. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timur Chichko in the 89th minute of play forced KARŞIYAKA's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Timur Chichko took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rodriguinho Lara. Rodriguinho Lara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. When the match was over Феникс Санкт-Петербург could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than KARŞIYAKA throughout the match.
