An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Paiva in the 8th minute of play forced Tabachana F.C.'s goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 8 minutes of play, WAU team's Paulo Paiva made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thibaut Courtois was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of WAU team booed when Tabachana F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tabachana F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Paiva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 22 played minutes Tabachana F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Efthimis Stamatiadis. Thibaut Courtois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Paiva in the 23rd minute of the match. Thibaut Courtois didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulo Paiva went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 33rd minute, Luiz Fernando de Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thibaut Courtois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fernando de Toledo in the 35th minute of play. In the 37th minute Rony de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thibaut Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. That made the score 1-4 in the 44 minute of play. After the first half WAU team were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexis Idrotoglou to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fernando de Toledo in the 54th minute of play forced Tabachana F.C.'s goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamim Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vassilis Tournas in the 55th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tabachana F.C.'s Alexis Idrotoglou got a free kick in the 57th minute. Tabachana F.C.'s Thibaut Courtois played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fernando de Toledo in the 60th minute of play. Benjamim Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexis Idrotoglou in the 62nd minute of the match. Thibaut Courtois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fernando de Toledo in the 65th minute of play. 70 minutes into the game, Luiz Fernando de Toledo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Thibaut Courtois. Luiz Fernando de Toledo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. Abel Prado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Thibaut Courtois when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 75 minutes into the match, WAU team's goal looked a bit too open when Alexis Idrotoglou came free, but Benjamim Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as WAU team's Abel Prado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thibaut Courtois. That made the score 1-7 after 79 minutes of play. Benjamim Nunes came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Tabachana F.C.'s Alexis Idrotoglou. But to his dismay, Alexis Idrotoglou quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-7. Thibaut Courtois was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luiz Fernando de Toledo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-8 in the 87 minute of play. In the 95th minute, Michalis Kalamaridis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernandão Lopes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Thibaut Courtois firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 97 played minutes WAU team got a freekick which was hit by Rony de Andrade.
