When Luiz Fernando de Toledo came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the WAU team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fernando de Toledo couldn't finish the play. Benjamim Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davide Bertolini in the 11th minute of play. Benjamim Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davide Bertolini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on San Nicolò Kings's corner Ernesto Tagliente fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Benjamim Nunes quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Paiva in the 17th minute of play forced San Nicolò Kings's goalkeeper Franco Catucci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Ernesto Tagliente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamim Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nedo Nadi in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benjamim Nunes saved WAU team from getting behind. In the 31st minute of the match San Nicolò Kings got a corner. WAU team's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nildo Sena ran over to the corner to take the kick. Benito Bravo was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 35 minutes into the match, WAU team's goal looked a bit too open when Davide Bertolini came free, but Benjamim Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of WAU team booed when San Nicolò Kings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Davide Bertolini didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Davide Bertolini stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Nedo Nadi could shoot a difficult shot in the 51st minute, which Benjamim Nunes however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in San Nicolò Kings's zone, Luiz Fernando de Toledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franco Catucci came out of the goal and Luiz Fernando de Toledo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute of the match, Nedo Nadi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Benjamim Nunes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When WAU team's Luiz Fernando de Toledo in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Nedo Nadi sped through WAU team's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benjamim Nunes. Ernesto Tagliente could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Benjamim Nunes made a huge save. After 78 played minutes WAU team got a freekick which was hit by Renan Fantini. In the 80th minute, April Kul left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The San Nicolò Kings fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. San Nicolò Kings's Ernesto Tagliente was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Benjamim Nunes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of WAU team booed when San Nicolò Kings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Frasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Fernando de Toledo missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 96 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Franco Catucci right hand side. San Nicolò Kings played a much better game than WAU team and deserved their victory. The WAU team players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
