After recieving a nice pass, Boroondara Milan's Ned Mills tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Bath Boyce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vassilis Tournas in the 9th minute of play. After 10 played minutes Boroondara Milan got a freekick which was hit by Arty Shearn. 14 minutes into the game, Tabachana F.C.'s Alexis Idrotoglou nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bath Boyce made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vassilis Tournas in the 17th minute of play forced Boroondara Milan's goalkeeper Bath Boyce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Boroondara Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Vassilis Tournas came free, but Bath Boyce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paco Everett could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Thibaut Courtois made a huge save. 24 minutes into the match, Boroondara Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Alexis Idrotoglou came free, but Bath Boyce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thibaut Courtois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Kris Pearse dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Thibaut Courtois, 1-2. Thibaut Courtois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paco Everett in the 38th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Boroondara Milan's Arty Shearn got a free kick in the 40th minute. Bath Boyce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexis Idrotoglou in the 48th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Alexis Idrotoglou made the kick off in the second half. Alexis Idrotoglou's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Bath Boyce skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 55th minute, Drake Sobczak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 56 played minutes, Tabachana F.C.'s Panos Pachopoulos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bath Boyce came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tabachana F.C. reached it. Bath Boyce made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Alexis Idrotoglou sent off a good shot on target. If Panos Pachopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexis Idrotoglou who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Bath Boyce when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexis Idrotoglou got free with Bath Boyce in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 70thth minute of the game Alexis Idrotoglou who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boroondara Milan's Bath Boyce was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Drake Sobczak hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Thibaut Courtois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jason Sperling in the 74th minute of play. Bath Boyce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vassilis Tournas, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After 78 played minutes Boroondara Milan got a freekick which was hit by Rusty Reynolds. Alexis Idrotoglou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Boroondara Milan fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Tabachana F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
