When Xeromo Garibay came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the FC Philotimo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xeromo Garibay couldn't finish the play. With 41 minutes on the clock, Armand Helssen commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in real dixmuda fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 41st minute. Penalty! In the 44th minute there was a penalty for FC Philotimo. Magno Aparecido stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gerard Verhaghe. 0-5.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Magno Aparecido to make the kick off. Gerard Verhaghe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Barbas in the 58th minute of play. Gerard Verhaghe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magno Aparecido, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. real dixmuda's Gerard Verhaghe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save real dixmuda from getting a goal against them. FC Philotimo's Luis Barbas quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Matthew Moons, made in the 71st minute of the game. With a little luck, real dixmuda's Gerard Verhaghe got control of the ball when Tin Delgado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Matthew Moons hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. If Umea Caubilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78thth minute of the game Tin Delgado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but real dixmuda's Gerard Verhaghe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gerard Verhaghe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tin Delgado in the 80th minute. Tin Delgado might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gerard Verhaghe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tin Delgado ran back to his position shaking his head. FC Philotimo's attentive Antonio Čolak managed to snatch the ball when Jacque Nijs made a throw-in in the 85th minute of the game. Alejandro Chorache made in the 90th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Umea Caubilla however managed to control. FC Philotimo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
