The ball had pretty good speed, but August Hoffmanns firmly grabbed it by the left post. Audaz FC's Patric Sandwall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavian Basten in the 17th minute of play. Rot-Weiss-Essen's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Maximilian Henning in the 19th minute. The corner ended in Anestis Kotsopoulos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Audaz FC's Patric Sandwall did a great save. When Atilio Garcia came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Audaz FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Atilio Garcia couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute Octavian Basten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patric Sandwall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Audaz FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mesut Özil came free, but Patric Sandwall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute Daniels Cortez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but August Hoffmanns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Audaz FC's Serginho Chulapa was substituted for Daniels Cortez. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Octavian Basten made a kick off. Hüsnü Kapar charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hüsnü Kapar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hüsnü Kapar hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. August Hoffmanns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atilio Garcia in the 84th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Octavian Basten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Patric Sandwall successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Serginho Chulapa succeeded in the game's 95th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Audaz FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
