SK Slavia Bohnice's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Valencia C.F. the free kick. The supporters of Valencia C.F. booed when SK Slavia Bohnice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pavel Machek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joe Herring blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bobby Axelrod having to make a save. Bobby Axelrod made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joe Herring in the 26th minute of play. Jerry Lodge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stanislav Konvalinka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SK Slavia Bohnice's Bobby Axelrod played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joe Herring in the 43rd minute of play. After 47 played minutes SK Slavia Bohnice got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Paraíba. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 78th minute Joe Herring shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bobby Axelrod saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, Flavio Ferretti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
