Wellington Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ramadan Sananta fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sentinel's protests and gave Ramadan Sananta a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sentinel getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Ramadan Sananta hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the match, Grêmio 20 Julho's goal looked a bit too open when Agan Wijaya came free, but Eugenio Asier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Grêmio 20 Julho's Eugenio Asier got control of the ball when Rahmat Aswatama tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Sentinel's Eugenio Asier threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ramadan Sananta, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Yaya Kunaefi came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Grêmio 20 Julho's Valdemar de Amaral. But to his dismay, Valdemar de Amaral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Rahmat Aswatama scored 1-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eugenio Asier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Yaya Kunaefi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Téo Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Yaya Kunaefi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilmar Romero in the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute Grêmio 20 Julho were awarded a corner. Humberto Soeiro went to the cornerflag to take it. Yaya Kunaefi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Téo Pires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Gulliksson in the 31st minute of play forced Grêmio 20 Julho's goalkeeper Eugenio Asier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 played minutes Grêmio 20 Julho got a freekick which was hit by Gilmar Romero. Grêmio 20 Julho's Eugenio Asier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agan Wijaya in the 37th minute of play. Grêmio 20 Julho's Eugenio Asier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio 20 Julho from getting a goal against them. Grêmio 20 Julho were furious when Zé Carlos Pernambucano was red carded, 41 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valdemar de Amaral to strike the kick off in the second half. Yaya Kunaefi was a little too slow when Gilmar Romero got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 1-2. Eugenio Asier came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Sentinel's Agan Wijaya. But to his dismay, Agan Wijaya quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Eugenio Asier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rahmat Aswatama in the 66th minute of the match. Grêmio 20 Julho made a substitution. Jânio Pires replaced Kléber Borges. After a rather tough play, Grêmio 20 Julho's Qiu Zhen Guang got a free kick in the 68th minute. Qiu Zhen Guang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eugenio Asier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andy Gulliksson in the 77th minute of play. A collision led to Grêmio 20 Julho getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Qiu Zhen Guang hit a great ball. Grêmio 20 Julho's Eugenio Asier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rahmat Aswatama in the 78th minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Wen Feng Kang threw the ball into play from the sideline. Grêmio 20 Julho's Qiu Zhen Guang quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Eugenio Asier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramadan Sananta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sentinel were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
