Eugen Talianu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anthon Karlsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. When Shoval Diggs came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Sheep United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shoval Diggs couldn't finish the play. In the 11th minute Markus Åström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damiano Melfi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sheep United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Özgün Hatip scored to the left of an out of position Damiano Melfi, making the score, 1-0. Galapagos Islands FC's Anthon Karlsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Antonio Parra in the 15th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Boris Marsac got free with Damiano Melfi in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anthon Karlsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sheldon Cooper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 24 minutes, José Antonio Parra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sheep United's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Antonio Parra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Özgün Hatip in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Damiano Melfi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Özgün Hatips short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Damiano Melfi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Anthon Karlsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shoval Diggs in the 36th minute of play. Boris Marsac received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Damiano Melfi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radomil Mroczynski in the 45th minute of play forced Sheep United's goalkeeper Damiano Melfi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Özgün Hatip made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Sheep United's goal looked a bit too open when Markus Åström came free, but Damiano Melfi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Galapagos Islands FC's Anthon Karlsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Galapagos Islands FC from getting a goal against them. If José Antonio Parra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Boris Marsac got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Shoval Diggs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Anthon Karlsson made a huge save. Galapagos Islands FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
