Tao Chong Hao took the corner. Sebati Çiftçibaşı recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind UFC STEAUA's goalkeeper João Massa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sebati Çiftçibaşı's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Massa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Chamaicó's goal looked a bit too open when Cezar Alexandru came free, but Leonel Cefero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebati Çiftçibaşı scored 1-0 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Massa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sebati Çiftçibaşı might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Massa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebati Çiftçibaşı ran back to his position shaking his head. João Massa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebati Çiftçibaşı's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. With his leg João Massa managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when Chamaicó's Sebati Çiftçibaşı fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Leonel Cefero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermengildo Jobo, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Sebati Çiftçibaşı might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Massa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebati Çiftçibaşı ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 24th minute, Sebati Çiftçibaşı ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João Massa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 30 minutes into the game, one of UFC STEAUA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Sebati Çiftçibaşı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. João Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebati Çiftçibaşı's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Massa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. When Ariel Silban fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chamaicó's protests and gave Ariel Silban a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, Ariel Silban hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sebati Çiftçibaşı stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Sebati Çiftçibaşı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebati Çiftçibaşı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. UFC STEAUA's Hermengildo Jobo got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Faustino Matai's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Massa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. In the 59thth minute of the game Faustino Matai who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UFC STEAUA's João Massa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Faustino Matai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Faustino Matai in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Massa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 69 minutes of play, Chamaicó's Faustino Matai made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Massa was left in no man's land by his defense there! João Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustino Matai in the 74th minute of the match. Chamaicó's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tao Chong Hao in the 75th minute. If Faustino Matai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 78 minutes into the match, UFC STEAUA's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Matai came free, but João Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Faustino Matai had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Massa. UFC STEAUA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Faustino Matai was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Faustino Matai in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Massa saved UFC STEAUA from getting behind. When Chamaicó's Faustino Matai in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UFC STEAUA's goalie prevented a goal. Leonel Cefero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Therkild Prendorf in the 89th minute of play. UFC STEAUA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nelson Mendoza in the 90th minute. The corner led UFC STEAUA's Nelson Mendoza to fire away a dangerous shot which Leonel Cefero despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Chamaicó's Faustino Matai in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UFC STEAUA's goalie prevented a goal. The corner led Chamaicó's Tao Chong Hao to fire away a dangerous shot which João Massa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Chamaicó booed when UFC STEAUA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iosif Călin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Chamaicó fans cheered their team off the field, for while UFC STEAUA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
