The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Olavo Matorin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carrada d´Ansiedade FC's Márcio Moura proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Carrada d´Ansiedade FC from getting a goal against them. After 9th play minutes Luisito Antequera shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Márcio Moura and just under the crossbar into goal. 12 minutes into the match, Carrada d´Ansiedade FC's goal looked a bit too open when Laerte Lucas came free, but Márcio Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Edgar Gama hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Carrada d´Ansiedade FC's zone, Natanael de Godoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Márcio Moura came out of the goal and Natanael de Godoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ronaldo Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Peralta, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Márcio Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisito Antequera in the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Laerte Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 30 minutes, Fernandão Recife managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montevideo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernandão Recife was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Carrada d´Ansiedade FC booed when Montevideo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olavo Matorin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute Manuel Peralta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th match minute, Carrada d´Ansiedade FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Cesário to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute Laerte Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Olavo Matorin to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernandão Recife in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Márcio Moura saved Carrada d´Ansiedade FC from getting behind. Geraldo Pereira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Ronaldo Medeiros made a huge save. Ronaldo Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Peralta in the 64th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Carrada d´Ansiedade FC defense, Luisito Antequera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Márcio Moura. The Carrada d´Ansiedade FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Márcio Moura should have stopped the shot. Márcio Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisito Antequera in the 70th minute of the match. Márcio Moura stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olavo Matorin's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. In the 75thth minute of the game Olavo Matorin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carrada d´Ansiedade FC's Márcio Moura was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Montevideo's Luisito Antequera in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carrada d´Ansiedade FC's goalie prevented a goal. Montevideo were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Carrada d´Ansiedade FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Natanael de Godoi took the corner. The supporters of Montevideo booed when Carrada d´Ansiedade FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cherry Kiss didn't get a good kick on the ball. Natanael de Godoi was slow to take the kick. During this time Montevideo's players had a chance to rest. Manuel Peralta hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute of the match Natanael de Godoi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Márcio Moura skillfully saved the ball. Márcio Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olavo Matorin in the 94th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Montevideo fully deserved thier win.
