After 2 played minutes Berenjenas de Punto Fijo got a freekick which was hit by James Bom. Christian Passos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thibaut Vandamme having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Passos in the 5th minute of play forced Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's goalkeeper Thibaut Vandamme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's Thibaut Vandamme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laerte Lucas in the 10th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Alvaro Ramiréz took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ronaldo Medeiros to make any attempt to save it. 13 minutes into the match, Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Passos came free, but Thibaut Vandamme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thibaut Vandamme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laerte Lucas, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Ronaldo Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Ramiréz in the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Christian Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thibaut Vandamme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thibaut Vandamme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Passos in the 21st minute of play. Alvaro Ramirézs short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Ronaldo Medeiros to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 29 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goalkeeper Ronaldo Medeiros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alvaro Ramiréz. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Berenjenas de Punto Fijo made a substitution. Juli Alvarez replaced Alvaro Ramiréz. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christian Passos to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Juli Alvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thibaut Vandamme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Passos, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. A nice corner shot did that Behram Vacit got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ronaldo Medeiros quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 69th match minute, Berenjenas de Punto Fijo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by James Bom to maneuver through the defense. Montevideo's Ronaldo Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juli Alvarez in the 72nd minute of play. Juli Alvarez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronaldo Medeiros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Juli Alvarez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronaldo Medeiros was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. 81 minutes into the match, Juli Alvarez notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Montevideo's Ronaldo Medeiros. Ronaldo Medeiros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 86 minutes into the game, Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's Juli Alvarez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ronaldo Medeiros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. After 91 minutes of play, Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's Juli Alvarez made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ronaldo Medeiros was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 94thth minute of the game Juli Alvarez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montevideo's Ronaldo Medeiros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Juli Alvarez came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Berenjenas de Punto Fijo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juli Alvarez couldn't finish the play. Berenjenas de Punto Fijo were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Montevideo for a fine match.
